2021 DPO Officer Application Period Now Open

The Democratic Party of Oregon will meet virtually to elect our DPO Officers for the next 2 years on March 20th! For more information on these positions, please review the DPO Bylaws.

This election will be held by the procedures laid out in our Bylaws and the Special Rule of Order for Virtual Elections. Please pay special attention to this Special Rule as it dictates how the balloting for this process will work due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Per DPO Bylaws ARTICLE VII, Section 3, In order for their names to be listed on the ballots, candidates for must file on this form by 5 p.m. on February 23rd.

Online forms to file to run for a 2021 DPO Officer position or submit DPO Officer candidate questions are now open!

The following offices will be before the body for election at our 1st Quarter 2021 State Central Committee Meeting:

  • State Party Chair
  • State Party Vice Chair (2 Positions)
  • State Party Secretary

Any legal resident of the State of Oregon who is a registered Democrat is eligible to become an officer in the DPO, except for someone who is a candidate for, or is an incumbent in, the office of United States Senator, United States Representative, or is in any position elected from the state at large.

If you’d like to file, please fill out this form. Candidates must complete the filing form by 5 pm PT on Tuesday, February 23rd, to be listed on the printed ballot and to have a candidate statement posted on the Democratic Party of Oregon website. Write-in candidates can also be nominated from the floor during the SCC meeting.

All candidate bios and responses to candidate questions will uploaded to DPO website after 5 pm on March 5th.
